15 August has an historical significance for the revolutionary forces in occupied Northern Kurdistan and Turkey. On 15th August 1984, PKK partisan units stormed police and military bases in the small Kurdish towns of Eruh and Semzinan in occupied Northern Kurdistan. This date marked the beginning of the guerrilla war in occupied Northern Kurdistan.

Le 15 Août a une signification historique pour le mouvement révolutionnaire du Kurdistan et du Moyen-Orient. Le 15 Août 1984, les partisans du PKK prirent d’assaut les bases policières et militaires dans les petites villes kurdes de Eruh et Semzinan, dans le Kurdistan du Nord occupé. Cette date marque le commencement de la lutte armée du Kurdistan du Nord occupé.
Ce 15 août, Rise Up 4 Rojava lance l’appel Smash Turkish Fascism («Écrasons le Fascisme Turc»).
